The reason the government might have given Bin Laden weapons (we don’t know for sure, we weren’t there) was because they were helping Afghanistan defeat the Soviets. In order to get help from other Islamic nations, (apparently our anti-Communist allies in Europe, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand weren’t enough) they revived the idea of Muslim unity, which (I think) was dying away ever since their Prophet died. (I watched a documentary on YouTube about Islam and also looked up Islam-related stuff on Wikipedia. Islam divided into Sunni and Shi’ite shortly after Muhammad died.)
What we didn’t know was that there are verses in the Koran that are against non-Muslims. Sura 66.9: “O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be hard against them; and their abode is hell; and evil is the resort.”
Sura (9:123) – “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness.”
Sura (8:55) – “Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve.”

im bored and are u done with ur vietnam war thing and my dad was in the army in invasion of afagainistan , usa made a stupid choice they helped osama bin la din (i hate this stupid muslim guy) they gave um anti aircraft (stinger)stupid they are shooting aircraft down . they should let ussr win we woundlt be fighting (gulf war 1 , gulf war 2) its all usa’s fault . And have u heard of a terroist attack in russian some terroist they toke a school and they putt bombs ect. in basket ball hopps russain spetnaz wachted helpplesy cuz if any one came in the detinate the bombs. the spetnaz only sniped some guys
